CybAid is established as a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to bridging the gap between professional cybersecurity capabilities and the needs of charitable organisations and small businesses. We believe in the power of technology to make the world a safer and more comfortable place. By connecting pro-bono cybersecurity professionals with those in need, we aim to provide tailored cybersecurity solutions that empower organisations to securely navigate the digital landscape.

• Connect pro-bono cybersecurity professionals with charities and small businesses to deliver cybersecurity solutions.
• Support organisations in achieving robust governance, risk management, compliance, proactive incident response, and technical testing services in line with their own goals, objectives and business needs.
• Ensure  organisations are left confident in their ability to securely utilise technology and distil findings and cybersecure methods.
• Foster trust and partnerships that are rooted in care, openness, and consideration.

• Connection Services: Facilitate partnerships between cybersecurity professionals and charities/small businesses in need of support.
• Educational Outreach: Provide resources and training to improve understanding of cybersecurity best practices among charities and small businesses.
• Comprehensive Support: Offer guidance in governance, risk, and compliance as well as technical testing and incident response, as requested.
• Community Building: Create opportunities for networking and knowledge sharing among cybersecurity professionals and supported organisations.

Governance

• Board of Directors: CybAid shall be governed by a Board of Directors responsible for strategic direction, financial oversight, and ensuring the organisation's activities align with its mission.
• Advisory Committees: CybAid shall leverage advisory committees to provide specialised guidance on cybersecurity trends, organisational partnerships and areas or development and improvement.
• Transparency: Maintain transparency in operations and decision-making to uphold trust with partners and stakeholders.

Funding and Resources

• Funding: CybAid shall seek funding through donations, grants, and partnerships that align with its mission and values.
• Volunteering: Rely on the expertise and dedication of volunteer cybersecurity professionals to deliver high-quality services.

Amendments

This charter may be amended by a two-thirds vote of the Board of Directors, provided the proposed amendments are submitted in writing to all board members at least thirty days prior to the meeting where the vote will take place.
